Pelaihari, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Tiwadak (or cempedak, scientifically known as Artocarpus integer, tropical fruit with the same genus as jackfruit and breadfruit) contest mark the Manunggal Tuntung Pandang in Telaga Langsat Village,  Takisung Subdistrict, Tanah Laut, South Kalimantan, Thursday  (7/2).


Contestants from various parts of the district came to compete, but the jury announced  Tiwadak Si Guling from Bati-Bati Subdistrict as a winner to win an Umroh prize.

While Si Pahang from the host village won the second place, and the third was Si Manis from Gunung Makmur Village.

Manunggal Tuntung Pandang is a sarasehan or informal meeting as a tradition to make a closer relation between the district government and its people in Tanah Laut. 

Regent H Sukamta that day invited the community to be together building the Telaga Langsat Village for its progress and prosper.

"Manunggal Tuntung Pandang is one of the work programs carried out in all villages on Bumi Tuntung Pandang (nickname of Tanah Laut) in the five years of H Sukamta and (Deputy Regent) Abdi Rahman's leadership," he said.

On that occasion, 20 packages of basic necessities were distributed and the renovation of a house of one of the residents was handed over from the Tanah Laut Family Welfare Movement Driving Team (TP-PKK) in collaboration with the zakat agency Baznas Tanah Laut.
