Banjarbaru, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) noted the cumulative economic growth of South Kalimantan during 2018 was 5.13 percent compared to the previous year.
     

"Economic growth is slower than in 2017 (5.28 percent) and all categories contribute positively to economic growth," Head of BPS South Kalimantan Diah Utami said in Banjarbaru on Wednesday.
     
The highest growth category was company services 7.67 percent, electricity and gas procurement 7.58 percent, and large and retail trade, car and motorbike repair 7.48 percent.
     
She said the cumulative growth of 2018 was contributed by the mining and excavation category of 1.09 percent, large trade 0.66 percent, and agriculture 0.56 percent.
     
"The three categories totally contributed 2.31 percent, while the other 14 categories contributed 2.82 percent to the growth in 2018," she said.
     
According to her, the highest source of economic growth is the component of household consumption expenditure of 2.22 percent followed by the PMTB component of 2.12 percent.
