Batulicin - The Government of Tanah Bumbu, South Kalimantan, has poured Rp10 billion in funds through the 2019 Local Budget (APBD) to succeed in the implementation of the Computer-Based National Examination (UNBK) at the junior high school level (SMP).

Head of the Education and Culture Agency Ambo Sakka, through Secretary Abdul Latif, in Batulicin on Monday said that the Rp10 billion fund would be focused on the procurement of computers that would be used by all SMPs in Tanah Bumbu in UNBK.

"The number of computers needed for each school is different, at least 30 percent of the number of students. If the school has 100 students, 30 computers are needed," he said.

Overall, there are 60 junior high schools in Tanah Bumbu, and the whole school plan to implement UNBK.

So far the agency has made preparations by providing training to 120 people to become proctors and technicians recruited from each school to assist the implementation of UNBK so that there will be no obstacles.

The computer used is a personal computer, not a laptop, and is expected to come before April 2019.

"Later the junior high school whose territory does not yet have an electricity network will carry out the UNBK in the main school that already has an electricity. So far in Tanah Bumbu there is only one school does not have an electricity," he said.
