Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Three schools in Banjarmasin won the title of National Adiwiyata School in 2018 from the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud).


Head of Banjarmasin Education Agency's Curriculum for Junior School Ahmad Zulkani at City Hall on Monday said the three outstanding schools were SDN Seberang Mesjid 1 Banjarmasin, SMPN 29 Banjarmasin, and SMKN 4 Banjarmasin.
       
The Adiwiyata school award is given to schools that are considered successful in carrying out environmental and hygiene management properly.
       
As for the category, said Zulkani, the elementary school SDN Seberang Mesjid 1 and junior high school SMPN 29 won adiwiyata, but the vocational high school SMKN 4 Banjarmasin won the Adiwiyata Mandiri category.
     
"This category of Mandiri National Adiwiyata is for a school who is able to guide several other schools, and this school has won the national Adiwiyata before," Zulkani explained

According to him, the success of Banjarmasin in wining Adipura for the fourth time, one of its contributions is the Adiwiyata school. Therefore, "The plan together with the Adipura trophy parade on January 15, 2019, this National Adiwiyata school trophy will also be paraded," he said.
