Paringin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - A dedication from, by and for the community, is shown through every activity of the Sahabat Balangan Center (SBC) which continues to carry out social and humanitarian movements in the "Bumi Sanggam" (the district nicknamed), South Kalimantan.
Balangan Regent H Ansharuddin here on Thursday (3/1) expressed his appreciation for the social organization Sahabat Balangan Center (SBC), which had found a way to serve the community, even though they were only ordinary people.
"I am very interested in the activities of the SBC, they are pure and sincere, there is no political element. This is extraordinary, indicating the thinking of the Balangan people has advanced. The community has begun to understand how to devote themselves to helping improve the welfare of the community itself," he said.
He admitted, so far many people only hoped for the government to act, without finding a solution to the problem so that the community could be helped first as quickly as possible before coming from the government.
At the SBC, continued the Regent, they gathered and recorded various social issues around. They deliberate and are self-reliant to find solutions and solve those problems with sincerity towards Ridha Illahi (the pleasure of Allah).
"Usually the various movements prioritize submitting aid proposals or funding support before moving. SBC is different, they prove themselves with self-help, from small things to extraordinary things, such as sharing basic needs to the poor, Lebaran parcels for poor people, helping difficult people who are sick up to "the referral hospital in Banjarmasin, and now has carried out four house renovations and re-builds three residents' houses which are really worth helping," he said.
"Even though it is only devoted to the Bumi Sanggam region, the SBC is even known not only in Balangan, but also in other districts to people in the provincial capital of South Kalimantan. This movement is extraordinary," added the Regent of Balangan.
The Regent then appealed to government agencies, banks, and companies, such as PT Adaro Group, PT Balangan Coal, and others, to entrust donations to SBC.
