Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - A total of 22,807 pieces of electronic ID (KTP-el) which were declared damaged by the citizens are destroyed by burning in Banjarmasin.


Head of the Banjarmasin Civil Registry and Demography Agency (Disdukcapil) Khairul Saleh at City Hall on Monday revealed that the destruction of KTP-el was by burning at the behest of the Interior Ministry.

"We used to send the damaged KTP-el every month to the Ministry of Home Affairs. After that, there was an order to cut on the side. Then the new order is to be destroyed in place," he explained.
       
According to Khairul, the Interior Ministry's order to destroy KTP-el by burning is simultaneously in all Disdukcapil throughout Indonesia, including here.
         
"The plan is tomorrow (today) we will destroy as many as 22,807 pieces of damaged KTP-el," he said.
         
According to him, the KTP-el entered the damaged category varied, some due to the broken card, others because of the writing clouded,  and there was also because the data was not appropriate.
       
"There are those who ask for data improvements, for example, moving domicile, wrong names and addresses, including who wanting to make educational titles, even bachelors and married," he said.
         
According to Khairul, for population data transparency during the 2019 Election, all damaged KTP-el were destroyed.
