Martapura, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The Banjar District AIDS Commission (KPA) marked World HIV/AIDS Day by holding a healthy fun walk and disseminating the deadly disease at the Ratu Zalecha town square, Martapura, Sunday (16/12).


"Let's live a healthy life, check HIV/AIDS early, and apply the Movement for Healthy Living (Germas)," said Deputy Regent of Banjar H Saidi Mansyur along with Deputy Chairwoman of TP PKK (Family Welfare Movement) Hj Nir Gita Tyas Saidi Mansyur to fun walk participants.

The participants walked along Jalan A Yani, Jalan Perwira, Tanjung Rema, then returned to Ratu Zalecha town square.

H Saidi Mansyur said educating the public about HIV/AIDS must be improved. The public must know what this disease really is, how it is transmitted, and others. The earlier detected the better the treatment.

"If we can detect it early, we can treat it better," added H Saidi.
 
Hundreds of participants were very enthusiastic about this healthy walk. The event was closed by distributing prizes as well as socialization by KPA Banjar.
