Pelaihari, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Mayor of Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan, Fairid Nafarin made a working visit to the Government of Tanah Laut, South Kalimantan, Tuesday (11/12).
The arrival of the group was welcomed by the Deputy Regent of Tanah Laut Abdi Rahman along with local government officials at the Barakat Hall, Pelaihari.
Mayor Fairid Naparin said, his arrival was to connect the relationship and wanted to learn from the Tanah Laut Government about efforts to explore the potential of nature and opportunities to improve the welfare of citizens.
"Hopefully with this visit we can communicate with each other and work together, for example in the field of small industries or tourism," he said.
Previously he had known each other with Deputy Regent Abdi Rahman during leadership training at the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Abdi Rahman explained about the Tanah Laut. It has agricultural potential, with vegetables and fruits sent to Central Kalimantan and other regions. "Tanah Laut also has mining potential such as coal, iron ore, granite, platinum, and manganese," he said.
"I hope there will be cooperation between Tanah Laut and Palangkaraya in the future. I also have the intention of visiting Palangkaraya, "Abdi said.
