Banjarbaru, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The progress of the Syamsudin Noor Airport expansion project reached 25.5 percent, covering the development of phase I and phase II as of November 18, 2018.

"The development progress exceeded the target and we are optimistic that the construction phase will run smoothly so that the project will be completed as targeted by the end of 2019," said Project Head Dadang Dian Hendiyana in Banjarbaru, Tuesday.

The project that was carried out first was phase II covering the construction of infrastructure, supporting buildings, and expansion of the apron that had been carried out since March 2017. The phase II with a contract value of Rp798.1 billion is carried out by PT Nusa Konstruksi Enjiniring with physical progress reaching 46.3 percent.

"Phase I projects, namely the construction of terminals and supporting facilities worth Rp1.1 trillion, have been carried out by PT Wika since May 2018 with physical progress of 11.4 percent," he said.

The physical construction that is expected to be completed first is the mosque and the administration office with the realization until mid-November is above 50 percent.

The obstacle faced at this time is the weather because it enters the rainy season, thus disrupting landfill both for the terminal building and the aircraft apron.
