Kandangan, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Loksado Festival, which is an annual tourism event in the South Hulu Sungai (HSS) District is again held with its peak the "Balanting Paring" or bamboo rafting activities.


"Welcome participants of the bamboo rafting at the 2018 Loksado Festival in HSS, enjoy the natural beauty of Loksado," said HSS Deputy Regent Syamsuri Arsyad in Loksado, Sunday (11/25).

He said to promote tourism in the area its key is to increase the number of people to come or visit and he appreciates the support of the Governor of South Kalimantan H Sahbirin Noor who is present at this event.

Governor H Sahbirin Noor said the Loksado Festival is an effort to lift and promote tourism, regional culture, and increase the quality of life of residents around tourist sites.

According to him, this event became a positive vehicle for more love and adhesion of national unity besides introducing HSS as an area rich in tourism potential.

"I hope that in the future, the implementation of this event can be further developed, by packaging it with local wisdom and a distinctive culture of the local region, so that the tourism sector will progress and make a major contribution to regional economic growth," he said.

The Loksado Festival participants come from various regions. Besides enjoying local culture treats, such as dances, Loksado specialties, participants and visitors also enjoyed various interesting spots, such as Haratai waterfall, Malaris Hall, and others.

The Governor along with the HSS Vice Regent, provincial and district officials, and participants rafted through the rapids of the Amandit River to finish in Ni'ih Village. Here they rested and were treated to special foods of humbal rice and iwak bapalan, while listening to the door prize announcement from the committee.
