Tanjung, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The Tabalong District Government together with the Adaro Bangun Negeri Foundation (YABN) launched a movement of free from open defecation during the commemoration of the 54th National Health Day here.
PT Adaro Energy's President Director Garibaldi Thohir expressed his support for the Tabalong District Government's efforts to realize a district free from open defecation (BABS) in 2019.
For Thohir, health is the biggest investment of the community in supporting regional development programs. "The movement of free from BABS is to realize a clean and healthy life because health is the biggest investment," explained Thohir.
Data at the Tabalong Health Office from 131 villages and urban villages 75 have been free from BABS.
Regent Tabalong Anang Syakhfiani said this year the target of 45 villages to no longer have BABS.
"Thank you for the participation of YABN in realizing free village from open defecation," said Anang.
The launching of the movement to leave BABS was marked by siren pressed by PT Adaro Energy's President Director GaribaldibThohir along with the Regent Anang Syakhfiani, YABN Director Okty Damayanti, PT Adaro Indonesia's General Manager External Relations Rizky Dartaman, Head of Health Agency Taufiigurrahman Hamdi and Chairwoman of TP-PKK (Family Welfare Movement) Syarifah Syifa.
