Tanjung, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - A total of 62 veterans in Tabalong District received benefits from the local government in commemoration of 2018 Heroes' Day.
"We give the donations in the form of money and groceries on Heroes Day commemoration as a form of appreciation for veterans and widows," explained the Head of the Tabalong Social Agency Yuhani.
Each received a compensation of Rp1.3 million and a package of goods in the form of food, such as milk, oil, sugar, flour. In addition, 10 people got wheelchairs.
Compensation and wheelchair were handed over by the Regent of Tabalong Anang Syakhfiani.
Anang hoped that the veterans must be respected and appreciated both those who have fallen and those who are still alive.
