Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief Inspector General Yazid Fanani gave awards to a number of outstanding Traffic Police (Satlantas) at the 63rd Bhayangkara Traffic Day in Mathilda Batlayeri Hall, Tuesday (9/25).


"Congratulations to the traffic units who have shown good performance in the effort to realize safety, order and smooth traffic and suppress accidents," he said.

According to the  police chief, the Directorate of Traffic Police (Ditlantas) and the Satlantas must continue to improve themselves to provide the best service to the community.

"Realizing the weaknesses and making future improvements is the main thing that must be done," said the two-star police general.

A number of award categories were given to outstanding police officers, including the Tanah Bumbu Police for 1st place in the Road Safety Partnership Action (RSPA) and hope 1 in Orderly Traffic Village. The RSPA award was received by the Head of the Tanah Bumbu Resort Police Adj Comr (AKP) Novy Adhi Wibowo, who won it for two consecutive years.

While the 1st winner of the Traffic Order Village was Tabalong Police followed by Tapin and Banjar Police.

The award certificate was also given to Barito Kuala Police, Banjarmasin and Central Hulu Sungai for the establishment of the Public Safety Center (PSC) in an emergency in an integrated manner against accident victims.

At the event attended by Governor H Sahbirin Noor, 101 Antasari Provincial Military Commander Colonel Arm Syaiful Rahman and Banjarmasin Naval Base Commander Sea Colonel (P) Wijayanto and Branch Head of PT Jasa Raharja South Kalimantan Muhammad Zulham Pane, there was also provision of compensation to victims of traffic accidents.
