Tanjung,  S Kalimantan (Antaranews) - One of the flagship programs of PT Adaro Indonesia, a free cataract operation, is held again in Tanta Subdistrict, Tabalong, South Kalimantan, as a form of its corporate social responsibility for local residents.

Head of PT Adaro Indonesia CSR Division, Leni Marlina in Tanjung Saturday said up to now there are 6,064 cataract patients who got free services.

"Adaro wants to help improve public health through this flagship program," explained Leni.
   
As an annual program since 2003 free cataract surgery, this year is carried out in collaboration with the Tabalong Health Office and Tanta community health center (puskesmas).

62 Tanta residents according to recommendations from the Health Agency followed this free operation.
   
Tabalong Health Agency Head Taufiqurrahman Hamdie said the program is very supportive to local government efforts to reduce cataract sufferers, especially for residents of disadvantaged families.
   
Previously, Adaro Bangun Negeri Foundation in collaborated with PT Makmur Sejahtera Wisesa (MSW) also carried out cataract surgeries with 170 targets in Tanta and Jaro Subdistricts.
