Pelaihari, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The Martadah Baru Village Head Slamet Prayito in Tambang Ulang Subdistrict, Tanah Laut, said in the near future his side would realize his village to become an educational tourist spot in South Kalimantan.


"To support the tourism village, at this time we have prepared a fish pond with 7,000 tilapia seeds as a place for people who love fishing," said Head of Martadah Baru Village Slamet Pryitno in Pelaihari, Monday (10/9).

In addition, he said, currently in Martadah Baru village, the artisan of the South Kalimantan typical cloth of sasirangan have been active. There are also plantation crops, such as oil palm and rubber belonging to the local community.

"The sasirangan artisans are the Martadah Baru Villagers who were former transmigrants in 1986, so they have their own characteristics in processing it," he said.

In fact, he explained, in the village, there was also a home industry making snacks in the form of corn chips with a variety of flavors.

"With the activities of home industry, plantations and fishing, it is not impossible that Martadah Baru Village becomes a tourist village in Tanah Laut especially, and in South Kalimantan in general," he said.
