Marabahan, S Kalimantan (Antaranews South Kalimantan) - Deputy Regent of Barito Kuala H Rahmadian Noor hopes the handling of disadvantaged villages in the region in 2019 will be increased to five to seven villages.

"If 2018 the handling of the disadvantaged village is only focused on one village, in 2019 we hope the handling to be increased by five to seven villages," he pleaded when he was the supervisor of the flag ceremony in the courtyard of the Regent's Office in Marabahan on Monday.

Handling of disadvantaged villages, according to him, is determined by several criteria, including remote and lagging both in terms of the economy, infrastructure, health, education, and others.

Regarding this matter, Vice Regent requested the relevant agency should prepare the program from now on according to the specified criteria in the handling of the upcoming disadvantaged villages.

"I ask that the handling of disadvantaged villages must at least prioritize the health of mothers and children, drop out of school children, and those who are in education so that they do not drop out of school in the context of increasing the average age of schools," he said.

In addition, the Vice Regent expects, handling the economy of the community related to agriculture, livestock, SMEs, and others, especially in accordance with the potential of the village.

Previously, Regent Barito Kuala Hj Noormiliyani AS said that the government continued to handle disadvantaged villages in the district.

"To improve the economy of the village community, the district government always encourages the handling of disadvantaged villages," she said.
