Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The government-owned tap water company PDAM Bandarmasih, Banjarmasin, won the unqualified opinion (WTP) for its financial report. This became the seventh achievement.

President Director of PDAM Bandarmasih Ir Yudha Ahmadi here on Sunday said he was grateful that the company would hold on well and is expected to always get a WTP.

But he acknowledged that there were records that had to be evaluated for last year's performance so this year would be even more optimal. In 2016, the PDAM achieved 73 scores, while in 2017 decreased to 66.

"Although the value has decreased, the acquisition is quite good because it is still above the standard," he explained.

The outlook for the decline, he said, was due to a decrease in income (profit). Previously the profit gained was around IDR 16 billion, then decreased to IDR 7.9 billion.

"In 2016 the profit gained became large because of the elimination of accounts receivable amounting to IDR 30 billion, so that the income became high," he said.

Whereas in the 2017 performance, he said, there was no more debt write-off, so the recorded income was not high anymore, but it was still considered good.

For operational aspects that continue to be improved, said Yudha, there is a decrease in water loss figures which still reach 29 percent.

"Including operational continuity to customers is on average not yet up to 24 hours, or only around 23 hours," he said.

According to him, the challenge of PDAM Bandarmasih is to secure piping from leaks, because there are still many pipes that are tens of years old.

"Gradually, we continue to do rejuvenation, this is for the smooth running of maximum service to more than 160 thousand of our customers," he concluded.
