Banjarmasin, (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjarmasin Mayor Ibnu Sina expects the continuation of the construction of Sultan Suriansyah Hospital can be immediately implemented as there are many bidders to work on the project.

"My direct observation is the open auction of Suriansyah Sultan Hospital this year has a lot of bidders, I hope one can do it later," he said while attending the local DPRD plenary session on Friday.

He hoped the open auction will work this time. Previously, the auction failed because of no bidder.

"I'm sure this auction will have a winner, because I see many participants who have made their offers," said Ibnu Sina.

According to him, after the failure of the auction, then the item of the hospital project, which construction began in 2015, is reduced. "Of the 37 items of the auction at the beginning, we subtract to 33 items, one of which we reduce the procurement of the elevator," he said.

Procurement of a special elevator for the hospital takes a long time that it is feared the grace will not be sufficient.

"We believe in the process of building the hospital with the remaining half a year longer this will be completed, so it can be operated in 2019," he said.

The city government has allocated a budget of Rp37 billion for the continuation of construction of the hospital that faces the Martapura River.

In addition to the physical construction of hospitals, the city government also allocates Rp15 billion funds from the 2018 budget for the procurement of health equipment.
