Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - About 10 homes in Central Kotabaru, North Pulau Laut Sub-district, Kotabaru, were burnt down.
The Kotabaru Fire and Rescue Agency (DPKP) Head H Fathan Noor here Saturday said temporary data on the number of houses burned by about 10.
"There were no casualties in the incident," he said.
The fire occurred when the rain fell. To extinguish the fire, DPKP team mobilized three fire trucks, but they were difficult to penetrate the location because of the many people who watch the disaster.
The joint team from the Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD), DPKP, HBS Fire Brigade, police, district military, and volunteers also took part in the extinction efforts.
Emergency Department Head of the Disaster Mitigation Agency Syafarudin Syukur said about five people suffered injuries and was referred to the Kotabaru General Hospital.
While the number of families who lost their homes is about 21.
