Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - A total of 307 grams of crystal meth (sabu-sabu) and 586 ecstasy pills failed to circulate in the Karang Intan Class IIA Narcotics Special Prison.


"The drugs in large numbers is allegedly thrown by someone into prison on Monday (19/3) early morning," said the warden Supari in Martapura on Wednesday.

He revealed, initially the night service officers from combined of civil servants and candidates civil servants (CPNS) heard a loud enough sound in the area around the JKL block.

They immediately checked and saw someone running after throwing an object into prison.

"When officers searched, they found a black plastic package containing sabu-sabu and ecstasy," he said.

Based on the findings of such illicit goods, the prison officer contacted the Banjar District Police to coordinate.

"I really appreciate the officers who perform the task very well. This is a clear proof that we are the front guard in the war against drugs," said Supari.

While Banjar Police Chief Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Takdir Mattanete who received the report came directly to the prison.

The officer who is well-known as "Nete Boy" even then immediately ordered the Drug Detective Unit to conduct an investigation.

"My members immediately moved to develop to uncover the suppliers from outside and continue to coordinate with the prison to find out the prisoners who ordered the drug," said Takdir to Antara news agency.
