Amuntai, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The central government is accelerating infrastructure development in Hulu Sungai Utara (HSU), South Kalimantan, through the allocation of special allocation funds (DAK) affirmation.
Head of the HSU Board of Community Empowerment and Village Administration Dwi Hadi Saputra in Amuntai on Monday said 27 villages received DAK affirmations from the Ministry of Finance in addition to the village fund.
DAK physical affirmation is additional DAK to disadvantaged areas, borders, islands, and transmigration (area/spatial based) in addition to non-physical DAK allocations to support improve public services in the region.
He explained that the affirmation fund is only for the disadvantaged village, very disadvantaged which the high number of poor people.
27 villages in HSU that received DAK affirmations, namely six villages in Danau Panggang Subdistrict, seven villages in Babirik Subdistrict, each of three villages in Sungai Pandan, Amuntai Tengah, Banjang and Sungai Tabukan, while in South Amuntai and Paminggir respectively, only one village each.
DAK Affirmation Assistance ranges from Rp153 million to Rp315 million per village where the distribution is directly regulated by the Ministry of Finance.
Dwi said the DAK affirmation has been included in the translation of the 2018 HSU Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) and distributed in line with the distribution of village funds.
Previously, village funds had only two allocations, namely basic allocations and formula allocations.
Some villages in HSU are categorized as very poor with the highest number of poor people, such as Pararain Village, Telaga Mas and Longkong in Danau Panggang Subdistrict, Kalumpang Dalam Village, Parupukan, and Papuyu in Babirik Subdistrict.
In addition, Hambuku Hulu and Padang Bangkal in Sungai Pandan Subdistricts and Kayakah Village in South Amuntai.
Currently, HSU has received the distribution of 20 percent of village funds for the first phase. The funds will be distributed to the village treasury when it has completed the preparation of the 2018 Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBDes).
"The village fund received by HSU is Rp150 billion," he said.
