Kotabaru, S Kalimantan 27/1 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Sebuku Group coal company in Central Pulau Laut, Kotabaru, distributed 650 packages of basic food to the community in five villages around the mine site.
Site Manager of Sebuku Group Yohan Gesong accompanied by Deputy HRD of PT Sebuku Iron Lateritic Ores (SILO) Edy Grek said on Saturday, the distribution of food packages is the second times.
"The basic food aid is one of the company's concerns to poor families in the village around the mine site," he said.
The five villages are the fostered villages of Sebuku Group. They Pantai Baru Village, Sungup, Sungai Pinang, Mekarpura and Salino.
"The villages have become the target villages of Sebuku Group, as well as being the target areas of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program," said Sebuku Group CSR Advisor Setia Budi.
Earlier, in mid-December 2017 Sebuku Group has also distributed approximately 649 packages of basic food to poor families in the five villages.
President Director of Sebuku Group Major General TNI (retired) Soenarko MD said the provision of basic food to the underprivileged community in the fostered village is a form of concern and seriousness of the company in helping others.
"We distributed basic food to alleviate the burden of the less fortunate," he said.
Soenarko promised to provide assistance in improving infrastructure, places of worship, educational facilities, social sports, and others.
"The program of assistance through CSR program not only stops here, but will continue in other areas that need it," Soenarko added.
A resident of RT 2 Pantai Baru Village said that the basic food distributed at stage one is not yet exhausted, now another he get another package.
"Alhamdulillah for our family this basic food is very helpful," he said.
