Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is ensured to present and open the 2018 Indonesia Rector Forum (FRI) Convention.
"Members of the FRI Advisory Council today have held a final preparation meeting ahead of the convention at Makassar's Hasanuddin University (Unhas)," said Vice Chairman of FRI Prof. Dr. H Sutarto Hadi in Makassar to AntaranewsKalsel on Thursday.
The 2018 FRI Convention in Makassar, South Sulawesi, will be opened on 16 February and is scheduled for three days until 18 February 2018.
"On the first day of this opening President Joko Widodo will be present as well as a keynote speaker," said the Rector of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) Banjarmasin.
In addition to being attended by the head of state as the keynote speaker, the XIV Campus Convention and the Annual Meeting of XX Forum of Rector Indonesia 2018 also invited Finance Minister Sri Mulyani, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Dr. Ir Mochamad Basoeki Hadimoeljono and Minister of Research, Technology, and Higher Education M Nasir.
"The convention participants are about 4,000 college leaders, from rectors, directors to a number of academics and professors who are invited from all over Indonesia," explained Sutarto.
The theme, added Sutarto, is "Strengthening the nation's character in dealing with civil disruption".
