Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Banjarmasin Social Agency claimed that the number of poor families in the City has decreased by 7.78 percent with the introduction of Family Hope Program (PKH) and rice for underprivileged families (Rastra)   program.

Head of the city's Social Agency Esya Zain Hafizie here on Friday, said the two programs that have been proclaimed by the Ministry of Social Affairs are quite helpful for the family welfare in the city.

Two mainstay programs of President Joko Widodo and Vice President Jusuf Kalla, he said, provided the impact for families who were very less able to gradually improve their economy.

"Well, the families who have started to improve their economy gradually to be not really poor has reached 7.78 percent," he said.

Although, Esya said, the data of beneficiary households (KPM) for PKH is still quite large as many as 17,624 families in the city.

But this number, Esya said, will be re-verified by dispatching as many as 57 officers to re-record the data to be completely valid.

Because, he said, did not close the possibility that the citizen who has been recorded has moved domicile or no longer eligible.

Some of which, none of the family members goes to school, either elementary, junior or high school and they have no baby, no pregnant mother, no very old one, no disabled. All of the requisites for the recipient of the PKH or ranstra.

He said the PKH program in this city runs well, and even there are 29 electronic stall (e-warung) which became the beneficiary's family's facility to withdraw aid funds spread in five sub-districts in the capital of South Kalimantan province.
