Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The joint team of   South Kalimantan Regional Police and the ranks of Barito Kuala   

(Batola) Police have arrested the violent theft (curas) gang who operated in the Batola district. 

"That's right we have caught the perpetrators and the case is still being developed," said Head of Public Relations of South   

Kalimantan Police Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Mochamad Rifai in Banjarmasin on Wednesday. 

Based on information compiled by AntaranewsKalsel in the field on Wednesday, eight people were arrested. They are AA (50), R (48), T   

aka U (33), A (54), M (40), H alias Haji (37), T alias Abas (36) and AW (45). 

The disclosure of the criminals started from the report of the victim whose house was burgled by a number of bad guys in Jalan H   

Hasan Basri RT 11 RW 3 Tabing Rimbah Village, Mandastana Subdistrict, Monday (15/1) at about 00.00 am. 

The perpetrators broke into the victim's house through the back by first damaging the back door. The perpetrators then bound the   

victim using a duct tape while pointing a sharp weapon.

The valuable goods grabbed by the perpetrators, namely 12 mobile phones, one laptop, a gold necklace weighing three grams, 10 grams   

gold bracelet, two rings weighing nine and 10 grams, a two-gram earrings, and three-set women's coat. As a result of the incident,   

the victim suffered a loss of Rp45,500,000.

Following up on the victim's report, a joint team of South Kalimantan Police and Barito Kuala Police conducted the arrest of   

AA in Jalan Cempaka Basung 2, Cempaka Subdistrict, Banjarbaru, on Monday (15/1) afternoon. 

The police also arrested R in Pingaran Ulu Village, Astambul, Banjar District, and the next the joint team assisted by Jatanras   

Unit of HST Police succeeded in arresting T, A, M, H, T and W in Central Hulu Sungai. 

From the hands of the perpetrators were seized spears, crowbars, sickles, hand grinding machines, six grinding wheels and one car   

used in action.

After the interrogation, the perpetrators admitted they had done theft with violence in a bird's nest warehouse in Cahaya Baru   

Village, Jejangkit Sub-district, and Terantang Village, Mandastana, also in Batola.
