Banjarbaru, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) -  Banjarbaru Police Chief Adj Sr Comr Kelana Jaya ordered 42 of police personnel to be the teacher as part of its program Police Goes to School.

"We have ordered tens of cops to be educators to run the Police Goes to School program," he said in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, Thursday, adding that this is part of Tebar Pesona (an abbreviation from Tekan Bersama Permasalahan Sosial dan Narkoba or Together We Repress Social and Drug Problems) which was launched on the same day.

"Police personnel who are asked as an educator must deliver both a general material or others such as narcotics," he said.

The police, according to him, is cooperating with the Banjarbaru Education Agency assessing curriculums to be delivered by the police personnel to the students

Meanwhile, the police are preparing some curriculums related to the danger of drug, psychotropic, and other addictive in an effort to avoid students from abusing these dangerous things.

These materials are chosen, he told, because of the high potential of drug abusing either in schools or in colleges.

"We want to decrease the drug abusing potential among schools and colleges by preparing special curriculums about narcotics,"  he said adding that police also prepared some guidebooks for junior and high school.
