The district government of Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, continues to seek to elevate cooperation with other regions, particularly in development programs, one of which with Hulu Sungai Utara (HSU) District.
Kotabaru Deputy Regent Syairi Mukhlis stated that attending the 74th anniversary celebration of HSU was one way to demonstrate synergy.
“On behalf of the Kotabaru government, we wish Hulu Sungai Utara a happy 74th anniversary. May it people prosper, the region continue to progress, and they rise together to build the region in accordance with the theme,” he said in Amuntai, HSU capital, as reported on Sunday.

He hopes that this momentum would encourage the regional progress and people welfare.
The Regent of Hulu Sungai Utara H Sahrujani emphasized the importance of togetherness in the celebration. He said that various typical Amuntai dishes were provided as a demonstration of togetherness between the government, the community and invited guests.
He hoped that the anniversary would be felt by all level of society and bring comfort and happiness. The event also served as public entertainment to enliven the celebratory.
Governor of South Kalimantan H Muhidin remarked that 74 years of age represents a long journey that must be marked by sustainable development. He stated that development must provide tangible benefits to communities, even in remote villages.

“The theme ‘Rising Together, Building Banua’ implies that successful development is a shared responsibility, and the results must be felt equally,” said Muhidin.
He also reminded that leadership is a mandate that must be carried out responsibly, with every policy and program orientied towards people welfare.
The main event of the 74th HSU anniversary was also attended by Deputy Governor of South Kalimantan, Speaker South Kalimantan DPRD, regents and mayors of South Kalimantan, as well as ranks of SKPDs within the regional government of HSU.
Meanwhile, Deputy Regent of Kotabaru H Syairi Mukhlis was accompanied by Head of Communiction and Informatics Office Gusti Abdul Wakhid.
