Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The 1007 Banjarmasin Military Command (Kodim) to open up roads to the isolated part of the city, Sungai Gampa, in North Banjarmasin through the TNI Integrated Village Development (TMMD) program. 


The 1007 Banjarmasin Military Commander Lieutenant Colonel (inf) Wilson Napitupulu in the City Hall, Wednesday, said both sides have signed up MoU.

"The plan is the pioneering roads project is to get to Sungai Gampa with a length of 950 meters," he said.

Not only making pioneer roads, according to Wilson, TNI through TMMD will also build bridges for as many as 19. The expand are vary from two to four meters and a width of about two meters.

The reason is the areas to be worked are peatland, where river channels are part of it.

"Although the field to be penetrated is hard, we are still targeting to finish the work in one month," said Wilson.

The work of physical pioneer roads will begin on September 27 and is targeted to be finished on October 25.

"Of course, TNI will work together with local people in communal cooperation (gotong royong). Even soldiers will stay at residents' houses during the performing of the duty and it creates a closeness and family care among us," he said.
