Tanah Laut holds bicycle racing on water

Pelaihari, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Tanah Laut government in South Kalimantan has its way to enliven the Independence Day commemoration that is by holding bicycle racing on waters here on Sunday ((20/8).

Not only common people, but the district government officials also took part. Even Regent H Bambang Alamsyah joined the race. 

The track to be passed through is different than last year. Last year it was only a straightaway to the finish, but in 2017 each contestant has to pass it by zigzagging till the finish.

Many contestants found difficult to keep their balance on the track and plunged into the waters, but some had passed to the finish.

Bambang said he was contented with the race and expected it to be held yearly as it has attracted participants.

The winners of the race were then rewarded with door prizes, such as bike, electronic home appliances, and others.
