Kotabaru Legislative Council (DPRD) held a hearing (RDP) with residents and several agencies regarding stalled housing development in Stagen Village, Pulau Laut Utara Sub-district.

Chairs of Commission III of the DPRD Agus Subejo who chaired the hearing said the meeting was held following the the construction of 250 housing units on Jalan Indramayu, Stagen Village, were halted. It is funded by thematic special allocation funds (DAK).

"There is a progress score for phase one that has not been met, so it can't proceed to the next phase," he said here on Tuesday.

"Then, after the discusstion, we have a bright spot (solution) regarding the completion of the halted construction," he said.

He added that the allocated construction fund for 100 units, with a remaining value of about IDR6.7 billion is still available and secure.

"This meeting opens up all, including technical constraints, so we can identify the cause," he said.

The Kotabaru DPRD is committed to oversee the stages of development to ensure the completion of phase one 60 units, and phase two 100 units.
