Husband and wife arrested in Banjarbaru parking corruption

Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan 7/8 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjarbaru District Attorney has arrested a married couples for allegedly corrupted parking fees not deposited to the state through the local municipal government.

Head of Banjarbaru DA Ferizal here on Monday said the couples are RLA as directress and her husband SA as the operational director of CV Nadya Pratama.

"Both were managing parking in the area of Ulin Raya Market, Banjarbaru, and they were immediately taken to Banjarmasin prison to undergo detention," he said.

According to DA's head, who was accompanied by Special Crimes Section Teguh Ariawan, the file of alleged corruption case was declared complete or P21, then it was submitted to the investigation prosecutor.

"The result of the investigation team's report stated the file of the parking case was complete, so it can go to the prosecution and the suspect can be detained," he said.

He said the detention of the couples, who proved to harm the state in billions of rupiahs, is done to prevent the occurrence of things are not desirable before the trial.

"We do not want them to run away or eliminate evidence including committing other crimes," added Teguh.

The parking of Ulin Raya Market managed by the company from 2010 to 2015. The case began to be investigated in early 2016 after a suspicion that the parking revenue collected every day both from two-wheeled vehicles or four wheels in the market was being falsified.
