Police cross check hammer-and-sickle logo in KFC

Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 22/7 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjarmasin City Police crossed-checked hammer-and-sickle logo in Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) Restaurant on Jalan Ahmad Yani Km 4.5 Banjarmasin.

"The joint duty officers have performed crossed check at KFC and find the logo of the hammer-and-sickle symbol on the backdrop wallpaper stuck on the middle wall of the stairs to the 2nd floor of KFC," said Police Chief Sr Comr (Kombes) Anjar Wicaksana here on Saturday.

According to Anjar, initially the information obtained through WhatsApp Messenger of a Kebun Bunga Public order officer (Bhabinkamtibmas) Bripka Samsurrizal who got the info through Kebun Bunga village supervisory non-commissioned officer (Bhabinsa) Sertu Bahruddin.

KFC Manager Nur Syarifudin, said Anjar, revealed he did not know exactly about the image. He only knew that the backdrop wallpaper installed at the grand opening of KFC on December 26, 2012 by the marketing team from the center of Jakarta.

"The backdrop wallpaper installed in KFC throughout Indonesia in their grand opening in 2012 and the next year the backdrop has a different theme," Anjar quoted.

Wallpaper backdrop theme itself is considered by KFC marketing only as a library image in general. As for the image of the hammer-and-sickle is on the picture on a book titled "Russian and Soviet Education 1731-1991".

"KFC Manager Ahmad Yani informed that at the beginning of 2017 he has requested replacement of the backdrop. For twice he has requested the replacements, but has not been reimbursed by KFC center," Anjar said.
