Kotabaru, South Kalimantan 27/6 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Because many public transport are not yet operated during Idul Fitri holiday, passengers return from mudik (homecoming) tradition are forced to choose unofficial transportation service or black travel.


"Even though expensive, we are forced to use black travel service. Our bus is not yet operated, because the driver is still off," said Nurhayati, who will return to Banjarmasin after Idul Fitri vacation in Kotabaru on Tuesday.

Usually by using public transportation, Nurhayati who has five family members enough to prepare Rp600.000 for one travel to Banjarmasin-Kotabaru.
However, now she was forced to charter a black travel by paying about Rp1,6 million.

Besides Nurhayati, Aminah, East Java citizen, who returned from Surabaya to Kotabaru also forced to use a black travel that is more expensive than public transport.

Bus owner, Qomaruddin, said since the D-1 to D+3 service was closed.

"Understandably the drivers also want to hang out and gather with their families to celebrate Idul Fitri in their hometown," he said.

The conditions made bus customers restless, because they are forced to use a black travel that usually operate the avanza or inova.

Previously, the acting head of Transportation AgencyNurvisa said that his office prepared two buses to anticipate the accumulation of passengers in the terminal if they do not get public transportation.

Two buses are ready in Stagen Terminal, at any time needed immediately can be used.

"Two buses that are prepared at any time to transport passengers belong to Kotabaru Transportation Agency, and prepared at Stagen," he said.
