Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - South Kalimantan National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) conducted urine test on crew of roll on roll off ship in Port of Trisakti.

"Coincidentally, when we came to Trisakti Port on Thursday (22/6), KM Gerbang Samudra I was scheduled to dock," said Head of BNNP's Eradication Division Adj Comr (AKBP) Edy Saprianadi SH here on Friday.

Based on the results of urine test, the entire crew of the ship, amounting to 36 people were negative.

Prior to the urine test of the crew aboard the ship from Tanjung Perak Surabaya, BNNP first targeted the port officers. The results of the examination of 52 security and portal units were negative.

On the result, Edy admitted quite relieved because there is no port officer and shipping crew involved drug abuse.

Edy asks all security officers responsible for the passenger and luggage entry at Trisakti Port continue to raise awareness, because the sea route is prone to drug smuggling.
