Batulicin, South Kalimantan 22/6 (AntaranewsKalsel) - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo) III Branch of Batulicin, Tanah Bumbu District, distributed 350 packages of free basic necessities (sembako) to the community.


"The distribution of free groceries as a manifestation of PT Pelindo III's care to the community surrounding the company.'It is routinely done every year," said Pelindo III General Manager Recky Julius Uruilal in Batulicin on Thursday.

Pelindo III has three programs in improving the welfare of the community, namely the distribution of free groceries (sembako), cheap groceries, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

In 2017, 2.000 packages of basic needs are prepared by the state owned company for Kotabaru and Tanah Bumbu. Of the 2,000 packages, 1,000 of cheap food packages and 1,000 packages of free groceries.

For Tanah Bumbu there are 350 packages of free groceries prepared for the community and the rest are distributed in Kotabaru.

Recky Julius hopes that the free sembako distributed can ease the burden of society in fulfilling the daily needs in Ramadhan and towards Idul Fitri 1438 Hijriah.

Regent Mardani H Maming through Assistant of General Administration Affair Mustaing thanked Pelindo III who has cared for Tanah Bumbu people.

"Pelindo has shown their presence in the community as well as bring benefits and make the surrounding community also feel to grow the sense of kinship with Pelindo III," he said.
