Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 30/5 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Seaport Area Sector Police (KPL) of Banjarmasin City Police inspects all goods entering Trisakti Port to ensure there is no stockpiling of basic necessities and goods do not meet the standards.


"All contents of suspected container loads in the container area are examined, so it suppress any breaches from distributors who try to play monopoly and trade manipulation during Ramadan," said KPL chief Commissioner (Kompol) Fihim here on Tuesday.

The escalating of control over flow of goods at the port, he said, is the implementation of orders of South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief Brigadier General Rachmat Mulyana who issued the prohibition of stockpiling of basic needs and trade goods that do not meet the standards.

Notice No. MAK / 01 / V / 2017 is in order to anticipate the scarcity of staple goods and price fluctuations during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr in 2017.

In addition to routinely checking container loads, KPL police also aggressively held raids of ships passenger, goods, and motor vehicles on every ship that docked at the Port of Trisakti.

The supply of narcotics and G-class drug from Java to the South Kalimantan allegedly entered many through sea to the port.
