Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan 17/5 (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Ministry of Education and Culture introduced the official website of word search through the Indonesian Language Dictionary (KBBI) application online to the people of South Kalimantan.


Word and Term Analyst at the Agency for Development and Guiding of Language of the ministry Adi Budiwiyanto in Banjarbaru on Wednesday said the application can be opened by the public through the internet.

"This page is developed and managed by the Agency for Language Development and Guiding and provides the widest access to information to the public about the language," he said.

The statement was delivered in the dissemination of vocabulary enrichment program held in the Hall of LPMP South Kalimantan in Banjarbaru. Hundreds of participants from various circles attended the event.

According to him, in addition to providing information, the existence of KBBI online can also be used by the community to propose local language vocabulary that much spoken everyday.

"We are ready to facilitate public participation in the development of Indonesian vocabulary, including local languages ??can be proposed through KBBI online," he said.

He said any proposal submitted to the online KBBI must go through the stages and procedures that have been set.

He mentioned, each word proposed must meet five concepts, which is unique not yet in the Indonesian language and must follow the rules of the language.

The third requirement must have a positive connotation, although it is local, iconic or pleasant to hear, and the rate of occurrence of the frequency of spoken in the community is high.
