Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan - South Kalimantan's agricultural stand won first prize in an agricultural products exhibition at the 2017 Farmers and Fishermen Week (Penas) held in Aceh from 6 to 11 May 2017.


Head of South Kalimantan Food Crops and Horticulture Agency Ir Faturahman in Banjarmasin on Sunday said the synergy and compactness of the combined agricultural office scope and Farmers and Fishermen Community (KTNA) of all district and cities in South Kalimantan make the appearance of South Kalimantan get a very positive assessment.

"Alhamdulillah for the stand race we won first place in the national arena, of course it is very proud for us all," he said.

According to Fathurrahman, the products displayed are superior products, both fresh and processed products from districts and cities of South Kalimantan. In addition, South Kalimantan also displays the production of all subsectors in the scope of agriculture, livestock, fisheries and forestry.

Fathurrahman said the existence of South Kalimantan Provincial booth during the implementation of 15th Penas is a magnet for visitors.

All officers of South Kalimantan Provincial stand also considered successful delivering messages and information through print and visualization. Coupled with the harmony in serving commodity, decoration, neatness, and cleanliness.

The award is expected to be one of the motivations for farmer groups and local governments to continue to promote the development of agriculture and food crops.
