Adaro partners with LIPI gives fertilizer technical guidance

Tanjung, South Kalimantan 22/3 (AntaranewsKalsel) - PT Adaro Indonesia in cooperating with Indonesian Institute of Sciences Knowledge (LIPI) held technical guidance of organic to make organic fertilizer for farmers in Tabalong, South Kalimantan.

Head of Tabalong Agriculture Agency Johan Noor Effendi at Tanjung on Wednesday said the government is currently promoting organic farming.

"Through this technical guidance farmers can independently make organic fertilizer to support organic farming program launched by the Ministry of Agriculture," he said.

100 participants from farmer groups and agriculture counseling team (PPL) in Tabalong took part in the organic fertilizer technical guidance (bimtek).

Along the more expensive artificial fertilizers, said Johan, organic fertilizer can be alterative in cultivating crops and increase agricultural production at a lower cost.

Separately, External Relations Advisor of PT Adaro Indonesia Hikmatul Amin said the company continues to contribute to develop human resources, including through economic program by holding organic fertilizer technical guidance.

It was opened by the Regent Anang Syakhfiani. He expected the partnership through CSR program of PT Adaro Indonesia can help improve the agriculture sector in the district.
