PLN South and Central Kalimantan Main Distribution Unit (UID Kalselteng) together with the City Government of Banjarbaru have established Mitra Idaman SMEs souvenir center.
The inauguration of the souvenir center, which will be a strategic place for Banjarbaru SMEs to promote products, such as regional specialties, handicrafts and souvenirs, was attended by the Banjarbaru Administration's Assistant I Drs Abdul Basid, Chair of Banjarbaru Family Empowerment and Welfare driving team (TP-PKK) Hj Vivi Mar’i Zubedi, and PLN South and Central Kalimantan Senior Manager for Finance, Communication and General Affairs Sigit Fanani.
“We are grateful to be able to present this souvenir center, its facilities, and also increasing competency of SMEs so they can compete to increase sales and maintain business sustainability,” said Sigit Fanani.
He said it's part of PLN's social and environmental responsibility by providing repair of production house, production equipment, business capital assistance, electric motorcycle, as well as training for SMEs, production certificates and branding support to strengthen local product competitiveness.
The Senior Manager said this is a clear evidence of PLN's commitment in supporting economic independence, especially for small and micro business (UMK).
