The government of South Kalimantan Province is opening capital facility opportunities for young people to start business according to their interest and abilities.

“We have conducted training to develop entrepreneurial interest for youth in North Hulu Sungai. And we open business capital opportunities for those who don't have a business,” said Head of Entrepreneurship, Partnership, and Youth Award at the South Kalimantan Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora) Deny here, Sunday.

The agency provided the training for tens of North Hulu Sungai youth in Banjarmasin on 12-14 July 2024, to explore their potential to increase their entrepreneurial mindset which does not only focus on common business, but has local wisdom values according to regional potential.

“After we coach them, we hope the participants will soon be able to have their own businesses, and in the future after that they can propose for business capital assistance through the South Kalimantan Dispora,” he said.

The application, Deny expounded, follows the provisions of the district and city Dispora which will provide recommendations as a requirement for applying for business capital assistance.

He hopes that the training, from ability to build relationship, halal certification, and about BPOM certification, would increase youth's abilities and skills in doing business.

The participants were also taught about product marketing both conventionally and through digitalization.

“In particular, we provide young people with training related to entrepreneuship in accordance with the potential of their respective regions,” said Deny.
