Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan 2/12 (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded a trade balance of exports and imports in South Kalimantan in October 2016 had a surplus of 461.14 million US dollars.
"The South Kalimantan trade balance still showed a positive value, it had a surplus in October," said BPS Head Diah Utami in Banjarbaru, Friday.
She said the import export trade balance surplus in October were 461.14 million US dollars higher when compared to the September balance surplus of 352.63 million dollars.
Meanwhile, the cumulative January-October 2016 showeda surplus of 3.32 billion dollars smaller than the surplus from January to October 2015 amounted to 3.74 billion US dollars.
BPS statistical data shows the value of exports through ports in South Kalimantan in October 2016 reached 531.16 million US dollars, up 21.81 percent when compared to September exports of 463.07 million US dollars.
The main contributor largest export commodity groups namely mineral fuels amounted to 428.04 million US dollars, followed by the group of fats and oils of animal and timber groups.
"China is main export destination with a value of 239.16 million dollars, 88.42 million US dollars to India and Japan with a value of 61.24 million US dollars," she said.
Meanwhile, the import value of 70.02 million US dollars in October, down 16.09 percent compared to September imports reached 83.45 million US dollars, and down 10.05 percent compared to October 2015.
The main commodities imported consist of mineral fuels 73.81 million US dollars, fertilizer group 1.06 million US dollars and the group of machinery/mechanical appliances 0.60 million US dollars.
"The main suppliers were Singapore with a value of 47.53 million dollars, 19.60 million dollars from Malaysia and South Korea which reached 1.16 million US dollars," she said.
