The South Kalimantan Treasury Directorate General (DJPb Kalsel) informed that the province have received an additional allocation of subsidized fertilizer of around 70.93 percent to support national food security.

“The total amount of subsidized fertilizer this year is around 51,630 tons, consisting of urea and NPK. About 17,508 tons or 33.91 percent have been realized,” said Head of the DJPb Syafriadi after presenting the Q1 2024 regional fiscal performance in Banjarmasin, Wednesday.

He said there are still 34,122 tons of fertilizer that had not been distributed to the community.

“The rest will be distributed in the next quarter. We certainly expected that the agricultural production to increase to support national food security, especially in South Kalimantan,” he said.

In addition to fertilizer subsidies, he said, South Kalimantan also receives rice, electricity, fuel and LPG subsidies.

As many as 8.034,64 tons of rice subsidies have been distributed, electricity subsidies worth Rp708.84 billion. Then, fuel subsidies for Pertalite type 182,121 kilo liters, JBT diesel (certain type of fuel) 78,621 kilo liters.

Then the 3 kg LPG subsidy (PSO) was realized at 36,488 metric tons.

“Some of subsidies given to people in South Kalimantan are from the support of 2024 state budget (APBN),” said Syafriadi.
