Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - South Kalimantan Narcotics Agency (BNNP) together with the Sea Ports Sector Police (KPL) and the other side agencies conducted examination on two ships from Surabaya at Trisakti Banjarmasin Port.


"This check is performed jointly to anticipate influx of drugs by sea," said BNNP Chief Kombes Pol Arnowo in Banjarmasin on Friday.

He said, BNNP South Kalimantan have interdiction task force, and operations against drug is one of the task force program.

Approximately 80 members involved in the examination led by the Head of BNNP's Enforcement AKBP Sujono.

The team examined truck drivers and other motorists who came out of the Niki Sae ship at 100 dock Trisakti Port on Thursday (24/11) night, starting at 22:15 pm until 0:15 pm.

After examined Niki Sae, then on Friday (25/11) morning at around 02:30 pm, the team conducted inspection of passengers Dharma Kencana ship.

"All personnel performed body searches and a search of all fleet came out of the vessel," said Arnowo.

BNNP head said it checks ships coming from Surabaya, because during most drug shipments suspected coming of the city.

"Until the ended up activities did not found any indication or drug circulation from the passengers of the two ships," he said.
