Acting Head of Public Works Resigns

Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Acting Head of Kotabaru Public Works (PU) Agency H Rijan Fahriansyah resigned for health reasons.

"The letter of resignation was submitted to the Regent on November 22," said Rijan, who is also Assistant on Public Welfare (Assistant III), in Kotabaru, Thursday.

Former Head of Information and Communication Agency said decree of appointment as acting (plt) by Regent Kotabaru H Sayed Jafar dated November 3 and November 4 began his duty in the Public Works (PU) Kotabaru.

"I served as acting head of the Public Works about 22 days," he said.

After about a two-week stints down to the sub-districts to conduct an examination of a number of road projects, his disease relapsed to several days.

"Since a few years ago, I had a spinal disease, any time the disease can recur and spread to other parts of the joints," he said.

Rijan who previously served in the Public Works for 16 years denied that it is associated with other problems.

"Indeed there are rumors, but it's not true. I resigned purely for health reasons, not the others, and even the family asked to take early retirement," said Rijan who claimed to have been 56 years old.

He explained that the letter of resignation as the Acting Head of the Public Works has been accepted by Regent Kotabaru H Sayed Jafar.
