Kandangan, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The South Hulu Sungai (HSS) Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Agency declared the area free of bird flu that had hit farmers in Banjarmasin some time ago.
Head of Technical Implementation Unit for Animal Health Center of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Agency DVM (drh) Norliani in Kandangan on Monday explained, there are no reports or found bird flu occurred in this area.
"Until now, no cases of bird flu. Cases of bird flu occurred in HSS in 2015," she said.
Although no cases of bird flu, she said, farmers must remain vigilant, as there are some animals die from some other cause, such as due to bacterial, animal feed that does not correspond, to the animal stepped on.
"For livestock deaths caused by bacteria are still there, but the animals are still be saved," she said.
According to Norliani, no cases of H5N1 in the district of HSS not be separated from efforts to anticipate routinely by ranks of HSS Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Agency.
