Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Banjarmasin City Police Commissioner (Kombes) Anjar Wicaksana Sik called elementary school (SD) studentsto grow reading habit at an early age.


"We attended several elementary schools in the city to meet with the children and encourage them to love reading," he said on Friday.

He said he visited several elementary schools in the city of "a Thousand Rivers" in a program of Active Library Bhayangkara Trustees of Public Order and Safety (Bhabinkamtibmas) of Banjarmasin City Police.

He recently visited SD Telaga Biru 1 at Jalan Yos Sudarso. Children were enthusiastic, when police promote the importance of early reading interests.

In addition to foster interest in reading in children, Banjarmasin Police also provides an introduction to the law, especially related to child protection.

Elementary school children were also given an introduction to the elements of the police order not to feel fear at the sight of the police.
