Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjarbaru Drug Investigation Unit Police nabbed spouses who become sabu-sabu dealers.


Banjarbaru Police Chief AKBP Eko Wahyuniawan through the head unit of drug AKP Sumardi on Friday said that the husband and wife were arrested separately.

"First we caught the husband JU (41) on Wednesday (19/10) then his wife, KN (40), on Thursday (20/10), and seized methamphetamine (sabu-sabu) also scales," he said.

In JU's home in Jalan Duku Permai, Sungai Ulin, police confiscated a package of 0.33 grams of methamphetamine and a digital scale.

But then the police found methamphetamine again hidden by KN under a pile of stones next to their house quite a lot of 21.77 grams.

"The evidence of methamphetamine seized separately from KN 16 packages ready for sale. The price of one gram reached Rp1.8 million, bringing the total cost of tens of millions," said AKP Sumardi.

Disclosure of drug dealing by the husband and wife was the result of cooperation between Banjarbaru and Banjar drug police.

According to him, the husband and wife have been proven of drug abuse class I kind of methamphetamine in violation of article 112 of Law Decree No. 35 of 2009 on narcotics.

"The threat of punishment for JU minimum of four years in prison, while KN punishable by imprisonment of at least five years because of proved distributing narcotics," he said.
