Bandung, West Java (Antaranews Kalimantan) - Shooting sport again contributed two gold medals for the contingent of South Kalimantan in National Games (PON) XIX 2016 West Java in Cisangkan Shooting Range, Cimahi, Thursday.
According to Chairman of the contingent H Gusti Perdana Kusuma, by increasing two gold medals from shooting athletes then South Kalimantan already collected five gold medals.
"Remarkably shooting sports are already accounted for four golds on target," he said.
In fact, he said, not only gold medals, shooting sports also earned one silver and one bronze. The silver medal won at number 10 meter air rifle individual man by athlete Davin RW.
"The bronze medal won at number 10 meter air rifle men's team by athlete Davin RW, I Made DJ and M Ramadhani," he said.
In addition to the shooting sports, said Gusti Perdana Kusuma, South Kalimantan also gained a silver medal in diving number 1-meter board achieved by Eka Purnama Indah, and one bronze medal in diving 5-point course PA individual by Wawan CM.
"So we've already got five gold medals, five silver medals and five bronze medals," he explained.
According to him, South Kalimantan is still likely add to the coffers of gold medals, among them from a big target in wrestling that will begin play on Friday (23/9) at Saparua sport hall, West Java.
"Hopefully, we targeted a total of 18 gold medals in PON this time to the maximum reach," said Gusti Perdana.
In PON XIX 2016 West Java, South Kalimantan deploys as many as 226 athletes who take part in 36 different sports.
