The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) bestowed the 2023 Kihajar Award on the Governor of South Kalimantan Sahbirin Noor or Uncle Birin for his concern for education.

Uncle Birin won the Kihajar Award for two categories, synergy between regional government and the Kemendikburistek in communication and information technology based learning (Pembatik) and the category of Jawara (champion of) belajar.id.

The award was received by Head of South Kalimantan Education and Culture Office Muhammadun, who represented the governor, at the awarding ceremony held at the Insan Berprestasi Plaza, Kemendikburistek, Senayan, Jakarta, Friday night.

The award for Jawara belajar.id was the highest for head of regional government for successfully implemented learning transformation in educational units through the use of belajar.id, which is the main program of the ministry.

Head of South Kalimantan Education Office expressed his gratitude and thanks for appreciation given by the central government through Kemendikburistek.

"This award is a proof that Governor Uncle Birin continues to support and gives the best for the development of education in the Banua (South Kalimantan)," said Muhammadun.

"Insya Allah, the 2023 Kihajar Award will be an encouragement to continue to support and develop technology-based learning and learning through the belajar.id platform for elementary (SD), junior (SMP) and high school (SMA)," said Muhammadun.
